about okoluu
the 33 farmers of the okoluu farmers’ group cultivate their coffee on small farms, together covering around two hectares. they are planted with coffee trees between one and seven years old. more and more, farmers are adopting disease-resistant and higher-yielding varieties, helping them steadily improve their farming practices and secure the future of their production. the farms contributing to this lot are certified organic.
in guji, farming methods remain largely traditional. coffee is commonly intercropped with other food crops, a practice typical among smallholders. this approach maximizes land use while also providing food for farmers’ families
